Kailua, Hawaii - Dr. Renee Shirakawa Kwock is a highly regarded Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist at Adventist Health Castle, where she has been dedicated to providing exceptional patient care since February 2021. With a rich background in oncology pharmacy, Dr. Kwock’s journey to this role is marked by a deep commitment to improving the lives of cancer patients through her expertise and compassionate approach.

Her journey in pharmacy began with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree from Creighton University, where she was an active member of the Rho Chi Honor Society and engaged in various extracurricular activities, including NCAA Women’s Rowing.

Before joining Adventist Health Castle, Dr. Kwock garnered extensive experience in the field of oncology pharmacy. She served as a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist at Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, California, from January 2015 to February 2021. During her tenure, she supported a 32-bed and 23-chair ambulatory infusion center, demonstrating her proficiency in managing complex oncology treatments and medications.

Prior to her time at Keck Medicine of USC, Dr. Kwock contributed her skills to the United States Air Force as an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist from December 2011 to August 2014. She provided crucial pharmacy support to the Hematology/Oncology and Specialty Services Infusion Center and served as the Chief of the pharmacy externship program, showcasing her leadership abilities and dedication to advancing pharmacy practice.

Dr. Kwock’s diverse pharmacy experience also includes roles as an Outpatient Pharmacist at the Mike O'Callaghan Federal Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and as an Intern Pharmacist at CVS Caremark Corporation and Walgreens. A firm believer in continuous learning and professional growth, she holds Oncology Pharmacy Specialty Certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, underscoring her commitment to excellence in oncology pharmacy practice.
