Dr. Sanchita Mehra is a compassionate periodontist in southern California. Dr. Sanchita Mehra is very passionate about stopping the progression of periodontal diseases, improving oral hygiene, and achieving better aesthetics. Her skills include advanced periodontology, modern tissue engineering, and biomedical implants. Currently, she is a lecturer at the Advanced Periodontology Residents Study Club, a journey she started in 2018. She is also a member of the University of California’s Periodontal Faculty. Dr. Mehra uses her spare time to dance, do photography, and travel around the world.

Get to know Periodontist Dr. Sanchita Mehra, who serves patients in California.

Dr. Mehra is a board-eligible traveling periodontist in California. She prides herself on working enthusiastically with her colleagues to ensure each patient is treated comprehensively and professionally. Her goals for her patients include halting periodontal disease progression, improving function, esthetics, and quality of life.

Dr. Mehra welcomes her patients to experience the highest periodontal and dental implant care standards. She is committed to building long-term relationships with her patients, while providing excellent comprehensive care at every visit. Dr. Mehra cares deeply about her patients and looks forward to helping them achieve and maintain optimal oral health, esthetics, and function.

Beginning her dental journey early on as an intern at her childhood dental office in Long Island, New York, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Boston University, and received her Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) degree from Rutgers University. She graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from Western University of Health Sciences where she developed a passion for periodontal surgery. She then went on to receive her certificate in Advanced Periodontology and her Master of Science (MS) in Biomedical Implants and Tissue Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Additionally Dr. Mehra is a professional member of the American Association of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Los Angeles Denatl Society, and the California Dental Association. 

Periodontics is the dental specialty focusing exclusively on the inflammatory disease that destructs the gums and other supporting structures around the teeth. A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants.

In her free time, Dr. Mehra enjoys dancing, photography, and traveling.
