Academically, Dr. Ghusson received her Medical Degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. in 2014. She then went on to perform her residency in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2017, followed by her fellowship training in infectious disease (serving as chief fellow) at the said establishment in 2019.

That same year, she attained board certification in internal medicine and infectious disease through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
