A seasoned cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Ghoreishi works with patients within the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He can also be found on staff at UM St. Joseph Medical Center.

The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is the flagship academic medical center at the heart of UMMS and includes the 789-bed downtown Baltimore campus and the 177-bed midtown campus one mile north. The medical staff comprises nearly 1,200 attending physicians who are faculty members at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, as well as 900 residents and fellows in all medical specialties.

Back in 2004, Dr. Ghoreishi earned his medical degree from the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Iran, and completed a residency at the Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in 2008. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship at the MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in 2014, and his residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 2019.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in cardiothoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, an American surgical organization devoted to surgery of the chest.
