Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Priyanka Saigal, who serves patients in Ocoee, Florida.

A board-certified and fellowship-trained psychiatrist, Dr. Saigal works with patients at the Center for Adult & Child Psychiatry in Ocoee, Florida. She enjoys working with both adults and children with a wide variety of illnesses- including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, mood disorders and anxiety.

The team at the Center for Adult & Child Psychiatry specialize in treating chronic mood disorders and mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, schizoaffective disorder, PTSD, and bipolar disorder, as well as many others. They offer tele psychiatry consults for inpatient and outpatient facilities. Their therapists focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, group therapy sessions, individual therapy sessions, and stress management practices to ensure the mental well-being of their patients.

Born and raised in Norway, Dr. Saigal has had the unique experience of practicing psychiatry both in Europe and the United States. Having lived in several countries, understanding and learning from a variety of cultures has been a constant theme in her life. Working with children and families inspires her to be creative, adapt her communication skills, and analyze problems from a multidisciplinary and multicultural perspective.

In regards to her educational background, she graduated with her medical degree from the University of Debrecen Medical and Health Science Center in Hungary in 2011. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in psychiatry at St. Louis University and subsequently trained at the University of South Florida for her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Passionate about her profession, the doctor strongly believes in a holistic approach to improve her patients’ lives and is passionate about making a positive impact on her patients, their families and those around her. She is board-certified in psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). As such, her training, credentials and experience reflect her commitment to meet the highest standards of clinical care for her patients.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate treatment results.

When she is not tending to patients, Dr. Saigal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, and traveling. Speaking several languages, she is fluent in English, Norwegian, and Hindi.
