  • Can I combine these medications?

Yes. But too much Tylenol can damage your liver. Even for short-term use, try to keep the total amount of Tylenol less than 2 grams per 24 hours, and *always* keep the total dose less than 4 grams in 24 hours (2 grams = 2 extra strength 500mg capsules or tablets twice a day; 4 grams is 2 caps/tabs 4 times a day, kor every 6 hours.) Watch out for hidden Tylenol (acetaminophen) in various products, such as cold/congestion medicines. READ MORE

  • Ibuprofen 800 mg concern?

Probably not, depending on whether you have a "strong stomach." It's a matter of protecting your stomach lining from erosion by ibuprofen or another NSAID (NonSteroidalAntiInflammatoryDrug) like Naprosyn, Aleve, Voltaren, etc. 800mg is the largest available oral dose of ibuprofen available--you need a little more protection than a small square of chocolate. Thank you for the interesting question! READ MORE
