Dr. Kottage graduated with his medical degree from the University of Ruhuna in Sri Lanka in 1992, giving him over two decades of experience in his field. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internship with the Cornell University Medical College Program. He then completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency with the University of Missouri. Furthering his training he completed his Brain Injury Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship with the New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Kottage is certified by the State of Virginia and Maryland. He is certified in Brain Injury Rehabilitation Medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R).
