Get to know Dentist Dr. Candace Susan Ruff, who serves patients in Elmhurst, Illinois.

A top professional in the field of dentistry, Dr. Ruff is dedicated to providing optimal care with superior results to her patients at Elmhurst Dental. She is proficient in all areas of general, restorative and cosmetic dentistry and is certified in Botox and Dermal fillers.

“It is heartwarming when my patients feel good about their oral health. They feel better physically and mentally overall and their great smiles foster self confidence. I enjoy helping my patients make informed decisions about their dental care” expressed the doctor.

Born in Chicago and raised in Hinsdale, Illinois, she graduated from Fenwick High School and earned athletic and academic scholarships to the University of Missouri and to Villanova University. There, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology while playing Division I soccer at both. She was recognized as a Big East All-Academic Team Honoree and served as President of the academic fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta-Alpha Omicron Chapter.

Subsequently, Dr. Ruff earned her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona in 2015, and received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois in 2019.

Continuously advancing her efforts, she is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

When she is not tending to patients, Dr. Ruff enjoys playing piano, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
