Dr. Ha, a licensed acupuncturist, started her clinical practice, Dr. HA’s Acupuncture, in the early ‘70s in Johnson City, Tennessee. Since then, she has acquired multiple experiences on various diseases. Her unique Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic and therapeutic methods have been proven clinically and experimentally effective.
With extensive training in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Ha earned her medical degree from Nanjing Medical University in China. She also holds a Doctorate degree in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
For more than 20 years, she has been doing medical research work at East Tennessee State University as a Research Instructor in the Division of Surgical Research. Having published around 100 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts in high impact medical journals, this has increased her understanding of both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine and has helped tremendously with her practice.
Among her accolades in the field of acupuncture, Dr. Ha is board-certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), which is responsible for the development and administration of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Oriental Medicine Certification Programs. The NCCAOM evaluates and attests to the competency of its National Board-Certified AcupuncturistsTM through rigorous eligibility standards, as well as demonstration and assessment of the core knowledge, skills, and abilities expected for an entry level practitioner of acupuncture and Oriental medicine.
