Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Rosendorff graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2000.

Furthering his training, he performed his internship in internal medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital-Lifespan in 2001. He also completed his post-doctoral fellowship in infectious diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2005, and his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the said establishment in 2008.

Specializing in the study of bodily fluids and tissues, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.

Since 2013, Dr. Rosendorff has been licensed as a laboratory director in California, running a number of successful labs. He has experience with genomics and has been acknowledged by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Between his medical expertise and his personal experience with weight loss and life coaching, Dr. Rosendorff founded GilaRiverMD, LLC with the idea of helping each individual be the best version of themselves.

Among his professional affiliations include the Association of Molecular Pathology, the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, the Society for Pediatric Pathology, and the Academy of Clinical Laboratory and Physician Scientists.

Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and in some cases, the whole body. Pathologists are physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and management of diseases by laboratory methods.
