With a background in hospice, emergency room care, bariatrics, and ownership of a motorsports school, Misty epitomizes dedication and compassion in her profession, striving to provide the best possible care to her patients and community. Specializing in family and internal medicine, her passion extends to patient education, end-of-life nursing, rehabilitation, and gerontology.
Academically, Misty obtained her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Blinn College in 2013 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2016. Subsequently, in 2019, she completed a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the same institution.
Currently, Misty is pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Texas at Arlington, with an anticipated graduation in 2026.

An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is a nurse who has obtained at least a master’s degree in nursing. APRNs may work across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, ambulatory clinics or long-term care facilities. They provide medical support and preventative care to patients, along with additional responsibilities of coordinating patient care and using specialized knowledge to manage complex patient conditions. APRNs can diagnose and treat as well as order and interpret tests and prescribe medications.
A Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) is an advanced practice registered nurse who holds certification and works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to deliver family-focused care. Given the rather broad nature of the “family” patient population focus, FNPs offer a wide range of healthcare services that revolve around the family unit; from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan.
