Dr. Young is a well-respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon who performs both cosmetic and complex reconstructive procedures, including all types of cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, peripheral nerve reconstruction, and microvascular surgery. In 1997, she founded Premier Plastic Surgery Center of Texas in Plano, Texas. 

Her goal is to enhance the quality of life of her patients from both an aesthetic and functional standpoint. She is known for her excellent results in body restoration surgery following weight loss or pregnancy, breast reconstruction, and peripheral nerve surgery. She is also one of the few surgeons who perform brachial plexus reconstruction.

A member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the doctor is board-certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Back in 1987, Dr. Young earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She graduated with honors and was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. She then completed her residency in general surgery and a two-year research fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center/ Parkland Hospital. 

Wanting to further her training, she completed her residency in plastic surgery at Barnes Hospital / Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri. An additional year of fellowship training in peripheral nerve surgery/microvascular surgery was then performed. During this year, she was an instructor at Barnes Hospital, assisting in the training of plastic surgery residents. 

Helping each patient achieve their desired appearance and feel more confident, Dr. Young is devoted to rejuvenating and enhancing one’s natural beauty using state-of-the-art procedures. Her patients have excellent things to say about her, one stating “She is an incredible surgeon with great bedside manner and amazing results.”

Moreover, she is the recipient of several awards and honors, including Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2012, 2015, 2016), Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2010, 2012), and Top 10 Doctor – City (2014).
