Dr. Jason Billinghurst is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon practicing in West Palm Beach, Florida. Dr. Billinghurst specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, diseases and disorders of the spine. Dr. Billinghurst specialized in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). He utilizes innovative techniques that result in less blood loss and post-operative pain, which my allow for outpatient surgery, short hospital stays faster recovery times. Whenever possible, Dr. Billinghurst performs motion preservation surgery, such as disc replacements, which may be associated with better long-term outcomes, as compared to spinal fusions. Dr. Billinghurst has extensive experience treating osteoporotic compression fractures with a minimally invasive technique called balloon kyphoplasty in the outpatient setting. Dr. Billinghurst also performs spinals injections like epidural steroid injections and facet blocks, and other interventional pain procedures like medial branch radiofrequency rhizotomy. Billinghurst prides himself on giving his patients the best chance to regain function and mobility, and return to healthy, active lifestyles. When non-operative care is appropriate, Dr. Billinghurst works closely with other healthcare providers, including physical therapists, physiatrists, and pain management specialists.
Dr. Billinghurst is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (fAAOS) and an active member of the North American Spine Society. He has been invited to speak at numerous local and regional meetings, taught at surgeon educational programs, and provides consulting services to industry partners on the design and development of spinal surgical devices.
