  • Help.. Will this space close in two weeks?

Hi! Thank for your question. Yes, the mild space should close if the force of the elastic is enough, if you are wearing the elastics as prescribed, and when the bite settle down after braces removed. Good luck and congratulations on almost finishing you orthodontic treatment! READ MORE

  • I forgot my retainer for 2.5 weeks will it still fit?

Hi! Thank you for you questions. Basically, as we get older our teeth move, that is mother nature! There is a high chance the retainers will be a bit tight due to mild movements (teeth feel comfortable were they were before braces and teeth will be fighting to go back to their original positioned). If retainers are too snug, my advised will be to wear them full time (remove them to eat, drink -unless cold plain water- and brush) for a whole month; this will move them back to the retainers final positioned, and then switch to nights only for lifetime. Hope these help. Thanks! READ MORE

  • Tongue Bumps

Hi! Thank you for your question. Although the picture is not clear, the little bumps form when papillae become irritated and slightly swollen. It's not clear why this happens, but it may be related to stress, hormones, or particular foods. Although they can be uncomfortable, the bumps aren't serious and usually clear up without treatment and within a few days. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays! READ MORE

  • How can I fix crowded teeth?

Hi, Thank you for your question. Crowding is one of the most common treatment in orthodontics. Crowding can be resolved by traditional braces or Clear aligners such as invisalign. Depending on the severity of the case, crowding can be corrected with or without extraction of teeth to align the remaining dentition. An orthodontist, the specialist that deals with crowded teeth and malocclusions, should look at your dentition, and based on the findings, he or she will diagnosed and treatment plan your case and will present to you the treatment that works best for you and your overall oral health. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays. READ MORE

  • numbness in lip

Hi! Thank you for your question. I am so sorry for the accident. Ideally, your orthodontist and PCP should look at your lips to make sure nothing serious happened, especially if you are feeling a lump around the affected area. If the accident was minor, I am not expecting you to have the numbness for the rest of your life. Traumas in the oral cavity including lips can clear up within 1 to 3 weeks. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays. READ MORE

  • Can Invisalign cause gum problems?

Hi, Thank you for your question. No, invisalign treatment does not cause gum problems, in fact it maintain a good oral health since you have to remove the aligners to drink (unless you are drinking water), eat and brush. Flossing is the best way to clean your gums and by having invisalign treatment, flossing and brushing become very easy compared to having traditional braces treatment where oral hygiene can become a bit challenging due to the brackets and wires (but not impossible to brush and floss either). Hope this helps. Happy Holidays. READ MORE
