Dr. Choi is a competent hospice and palliative medicine specialist with Hunterdon Palliative Care in Flemington, New Jersey.

Her interest in hospice and palliative care stems from her experience of caring for seriously ill older adults with multiple co-morbidities in the skilled nursing facility. She hopes to integrate palliative care principles into geriatrics to better provide patient-centered care that focuses on improving the quality of life for patients and their families.

“Hunterdon Palliative Care is specialized care that focuses on the whole person. It recognizes that people living with serious illness need expert symptom management, as well as spiritual and emotional support. Palliative care provides relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of a serious illness, no matter what the diagnosis.  It is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness and can be provided along with curative treatment. The goal is to improve the quality of life for both the patient and the family” as stated on their website.

Educated in the United States, Dr. Choi graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University.

They work with a team of other professionals to address the needs of both the patient and loved ones.

On a more personal note, Dr. Choi is fluent in both English and Korean.
