Get to know Neonatologist Dr. Himanshu Singh, who serves patients in California.

A qualified neonatologist, Dr. Singh is affiliated with Valley Children’s Healthcare, currently working out of Adventist Health Medical Office – Fowler.

Educated in India, Dr. Singh graduated with his medical degree from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh in 2010. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in pediatrics at Cooper University Hospital in 2016, his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2019, and an additional fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of California, Irvine.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in neonatal-perinatal medicine and pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Holding fellowship status, Dr. Singh is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially ill or premature newborns. It is a hospital-based specialty and is usually practiced in neonatal intensive care units. Neonatologists generally diagnose and treat newborns with conditions such as breathing disorders, infections, and birth defects, as well as coordinating care and medically managing newborns born prematurely, critically ill, or in need of surgery.
