A Colorado native with Polish heritage, Dr. Sikora’s academic path reflects her unwavering commitment to the field of psychology. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from the University of Colorado Denver, followed by a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Her rigorous training has equipped her with the skills necessary to conduct thorough individual, group, and couples therapy, as well as psychological and neuropsychological assessments across all age groups.
Dr. Sikora’s dissertation, which explored the impact of handedness on cognitive functioning in older clinical populations, underscores her dedication to advancing neuropsychological research. Her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio provided her with invaluable hands-on experience, where she engaged in psychological assessments and therapy for children and adolescents in an inpatient setting, alongside providing support to graduate students at a student counseling center and conducting group therapy with patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
To further her expertise, Dr. Sikora completed a two-year clinical neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship at South Texas Neuropsychology from 2016 to 2018. This extensive training allowed her to refine her skills in various healthcare environments, including private practice and military medical centers. She has provided neuropsychological evaluations and cognitive rehabilitation therapy to patients grappling with cognitive challenges stemming from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological conditions.
Dr. Sikora is an active member of several esteemed professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the Colorado Psychological Association, and the Colorado Neuropsychological Society.
