Get to know Neurologist Dr. Aizaz R. Hundal, who serves patients in San Antonio, Texas.

A committed neurologist, Dr. Hundal is the newly appointed Medical Director of Neurology at Methodist Stone Oak hospital in San Antonio. Dr Hundal is currently serving a critical need for neurological disorders in South Texas. Dr Hundal considers excellence in patient care as a primary goal of his clinical practice.

The mission of the Department of Neurology at Methodist Stone Oak is to improve the lives of individuals with nervous system disorders through excellence in clinical care, education, research and community engagement. 

Graduating with his medical degree in Pakistan in 2014, Dr. Hundal went on to complete his residency in neurology as a clinical chief resident at the University of Texas (UT) Health San Antonio in 2021. Dr Hundal considers early years of his life as grounds of motivation to provide help to those in need. 

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

In addition Dr Hundal is member of several professional organizations, including American Academy of Neurology and American Medical Association.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
