Get to know Colorectal Surgeon Dr. Shabiah Martin, who serves patients in Huntington, New York.

Dr. Martin is an experienced and compassionate colorectal surgeon serving his patients at Northwell Health, Digestive Health Center of Huntington located in Huntington, New York. 

He treats a wide range of colon and rectal issues and uses the latest in surgical techniques—including robotic surgery, laparoscopy, and minimally invasive procedures. Additionally, he is affiliated with Huntington Hospital, Plainview Hospital, and South Shore University Hospital to help a wider range of patients. 

To begin his career, Dr. Martin earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 2015. From there, he attended Monmouth Medical Center and completed his residency, after which he pursued his fellowship at St. Vincent Health Center. 

To remain up to date in his field, Dr. Martin is a professional member of the American Medical Association.

Colorectal surgery is a field in medicine dealing with disorders of the rectum, anus, and colon. The field is also known as proctology, but this term is now used infrequently within medicine and is most often employed to identify practices relating to the anus and rectum in particular. Colorectal surgeons specialize in the preoperative, operative, and postoperative care of patients with colorectal disorders.
