Since 2021, she has held the position of Assistant Professor within the Division of Leukemia, Department of Hematology & Hematopoietic Transplantation at City of Hope in Duarte, California. Additionally, she maintains affiliations with City of Hope Newport Beach and City of Hope West Covina.
For Dr. Pourhassan, the role of a physician is where the intersection of scientific curiosity and human compassion thrives. Academically, Dr. Pourhassan earned her Master of Health Administration and Management Degree and her Medical Degree at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. Furthering her training, Dr. Pourhassan completed fellowships in oncology/hematology at Loma Linda University and in bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy at City of Hope.
Triple board certified in hematology, medical oncology, and internal medicine, she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
