Originally from Wixom, Michigan, Dr. Thapa graduated with her high school diploma from Walled Lake Western High School. She then went on to attend Wayne State University, graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2017.

Furthering her dental education, she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in 2021.
