Get to know Dr. Steven R. Siegal, who serves patients throughout the State of Florida.

A talented general surgeon, Dr. Siegal is affiliated with AdventHealth Medical Group, tending to patients at AdventHealth Kissimmee and AdventHealth Celebration. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive (laparoscopic, robotic, endoscopic) abdominal surgery including foregut, hernia, bariatrics, and gastrointestinal diseases. He is also trained in the innovative da Vinci Surgical System (a robotic assisted system) and is an advanced surgical endoscopist.

AdventHealth Medical Group is a coalition of over 2,000 physicians, advanced practice providers, residents, fellows and faculty members. Their network offers patients a continuum of care across nine U.S. states. From primary care doctors to pediatricians and surgical specialists, they have physicians to support patients’ whole health at every age and every stage of life.

Graduating with his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Siegal went on to further his training by completing his residency in general surgery at the Oregon Health & Science University, before undertaking his fellowship in advanced GI, bariatric surgery, and surgical endoscopy at Penn State Medical Center.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, he is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, gallbladder, appendix amongst other procedures. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries from hernia repairs to reflux surgery. Dr. Siegal is passionate about and specializes in the diseases of the stomach and esophagus, including acid reflux and hiatal hernias and enjoys offering his patients non-invasive and minimally invasive surgical options.
