Dr. Zetchi is a cerebrovascular neurosurgeon with expertise in open and endovascular treatments of vascular disorders of the brain and spinal cord. He is affiliated with Yale New Haven Health, seeing patients at Yale New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, and Greenwich Hospital.

The doctor has special interest in treating acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, brain aneurysms, vascular malformations of the brain and spinal cord, carotid occlusive disease and trigeminal neuralgia. He also has an interest and extensive training in general neurosurgery including brain tumors, adult-onset hydrocephalus and traumatic brain injury.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Zetchi completed his medical education and residency in neurosurgery at the University of Laval Faculty of Medicine in France. He then went on to complete three years of clinical fellowship training in interventional neuroradiology and open cerebrovascular neurosurgery, two at the University of Toronto and one in Paris at Lariboisiere Hospital.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS), he completed his certification examination in neurosurgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCS(C)) in 2016.

With a passion for teaching, Dr. Zetchi is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Yale University School of Medicine.

A keen researcher, his research interests include: innovative techniques for treating stroke, brain aneurysms and vascular malformations of the brain and spinal cord, and testing tools for improving surgical education.
