Get to know Pathologist Dr. Sheila Katz, who serves patients in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania.

An exceptional pathologist with over five decades of experience, Dr. Katz works in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. She is trained to research, study, diagnose & treat disease by analyzing sample tissues at a microscopic level.

Back in 1966, Dr. Katz graduated with her medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine. She then went on to perform her internship at Yale-New Haven Medical Center in 1967, her residency in anatomic & clinical pathology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in 1973, and an additional residency in anatomic & clinical pathology with the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, she is board-certified in anatomic & clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology, whose mission is to serve the public and advance the profession of pathology by setting certification standards and promoting lifelong competency of pathologists.

Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and in some cases, the whole body.
