Get to know Endocrinologist Dr. Raad Haddad, who serves patients in Dearborn, Michigan.

Dr. Haddad is board-certified endocrinologist, he practices at Metro Detroit Endocrinology Center in Dearborn, Michigan. He focuses on metabolic disorders including diabetes, obesity and bariatric surgery, and cholesterol abnormalities. He also manages a wide variety of hormonal disorders including thyroid disorders (including thyroid cancer), osteoporosis, pituitary disorders, adrenal disorders, as well as sex hormones related issues in males and females such as low testosterone, PCOS and menopause.

The team at Metro Detroit Endocrinology Center focuses on the care and treatment of adults and children with a wide range of endocrine disorders. They partner with their patients and other health care professionals to manage their health in all areas of diabetes, endocrinology, and overall health. They utilize the latest in medical advances and technology along with comprehensive treatments to improve the quality of life for their patients.

Back in 2011, Dr. Haddad earned his medical degree from the Jordan University of Science and Technology Faculty of Medicine. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the Hurley Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Dr. Haddad is actively involved in research and teaching, he has given multiple presentations in local and national conferences and has published multiple articles in peer reviewed medical journals. During his career, he has won multiple awards for his academic and clinical achievements.

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones. Endocrinologists have the training to diagnose and treat hormone imbalances and problems by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in the body. The common diseases and disorders of the endocrine system that endocrinologists deal with include diabetes mellitus, as well as adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid disorders, among others.
