Eileen W. Woods LCSW
Social Worker | Clinical
Philadelphia Philadelphia PA, 19120About
I am dedicated to helping people overcome their struggles and become more connected with themselves and others. I've worked in Human Services since 1995 and have been a Mental Health Therapist since 2002. My training includes many modalities but what I find to be the important is understanding where people are in their lives through actively listening to people's experience, being supportive and identifying what works best for each person. This creates a safe environment where people feel heard, accepted and validated.
I utilize a great deal of basic psycho-education, behavioral skill building and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Other training I've had include family/marriage therapy training, EMDR and a host of other evidence based modalities. Additionally, as needed I incorporate indigenous mindfulness practices and Qigong for a wide range of issues.
I work from a holistic, person centered position and engage with you to build a collaborative relationship around your strengths and interests. I am able to provide concrete steps forward to improve your mental health and day to day life. Please reach out so we can get started on this journey!
