A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Exarchos received his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University and his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated magna cum laude. He then went on to complete his 3-year advanced specialty training in Periodontology and a Master’s degree in Oral Biology at the same educational venue, where he was awarded the merit-based Zanni Scholarship along with several other awards including the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics and the Morris P. Ruben Award for academics.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. The mission of the American Board of Periodontology is to certify the achievement of in-depth knowledge and proficiency in the full scope of periodontology and dental implant surgery through examination and periodic recertification.
To maintain his teaching and research interests, Dr. Exarchos holds a position as Clinical Assistant Professor of the Advanced Specialty Education Program, Department of Periodontology at Boston University School of Dental Medicine as well as private practice.
