An exceptional dermatologist, Dr. Simmons practices at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Heater Road in Lebanon, New Hampshire. His areas of focus include skin cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention; immunobullous diseases i.e. pemphigus vulgaris and bullous pemphigoid; psoriasis and atopic dermatitis; and complex medical dermatology.

“I work with my patients to determine the best option for their condition. I incorporate their medical needs, health, lifestyle, and goals into a realistic treatment plan. Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Simmons serves as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and as Director of Social Media and Website.

“I became a doctor because I wanted to take my interest in science and apply it to medicine. I choose my specialty because it offers me a dynamic balance between medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology” he said.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Simmons earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2016. He then went on to perform an internship in internal medicine at Orange Park Medical Center in 2017, and a residency in dermatology at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in 2020.

That same year, he attained board certification in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

“During my research fellowship at the University of Miami, I successfully published over 50 papers, and wrote multiple book chapters in the field of dermatology in high impact journals such as: Journal of Investigative Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, and Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology. This has continued through my residency training as I pursue areas of interests including: utilizing technology to bridge the gap in access to medical care, continued research interest and involvement in clinical trials” as stated by Dr. Simmons.
