Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. William Arroyo, who serves patients in El Paso, Texas.

An established orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Arroyo has been serving the community of El Paso, Texas at El Paso Orthopedic Surgery Group since 2016. He specializes in sports medicine, shoulder, knee and hip arthroscopy, knee and shoulder replacement surgery, and advanced fracture management.

The team at El Paso Orthopedic Surgery Group looks forward to helping patients tackle their orthopedic aches and pains and get back to the things they love. With their team’s expertise and comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment, patients are quickly on their way back to the mobility and functionality they deserve.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Arroyo earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center, where he worked as an active-duty military orthopedic surgeon. After his military commitment he completed his fellowship in sports medicine at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute, and returned to El Paso to continue serving the community.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

On a professional level, he is an active member of the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

On a more personal note, Dr. Arroyo is fluent in both English and Spanish.
