Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor Lisa A. Purtue Commended for Dedication and Achievements

Lisa, a Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor currently working at ASAP Services and Psychopharmacotherapy in West Allis, Wisconsin. This small independently owned, five star clinic, is run by several doctors including Dr.Vernon Partello, MD. Lisa has been lauded for her exceptional contributions to the field of substance abuse counseling.

With an impressive educational background that includes an AAS degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement, AAS degree in Substance Abuse Counseling both from Moraine Park Technical College and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Marian University, both located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She is currently furthering her expertise by finishing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

On a professional level, Lisa’s commitment to professional development is evident through her active involvement in prominent organizations such as the American Counseling Association (ACA), her membership in the National Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is currently serving on Governor Evers State Council for Alcohol and Other Drugs (SCAODA) and is a member of the Recovery and Addiction Professionals of Wisconsin (RAP-WI).

In addition to her clinical work, she is a passionate writer and is in the process of publishing her first book titled, "Five Minutes to Count," which promises to offer valuable insights into the field of Corrections, as experienced during her tenure serving as a female officer at two State of Wisconsin all male, maximum prisons for over seven years.

When asked about the key to her success, Lisa humbly attributes it to her unwavering dedication to serve the greater good and her genuine desire to help others lead purposeful lives. Her genuine empathy and expertise have earned her prestigious awards, including the NAADAC/NBCC foundation scholarship and award for Minority Fellowship Program as MFP-AC for 2022-2023, including the Identification of Dangerous Weapons Award from the Department of Homeland Security in 2008 and the Leadership Award from Quad-Graphics in 1998.
