Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Mary I. O’Connor, who serves patients in Jacksonville, Florida.

An exceptional orthopedic surgeon, Dr. O’Connor is the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Vori Health, an all-inclusive virtual-first health care provider practicing a holistic, integrated approach starting with musculoskeletal care. As such, she has the great privilege of bringing her vast clinical & administrative leadership experience, passion for change, and focus on mission to the very patients and systems that she has spent her life dedicated to serving.

Graduating with her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, she went on to further her training with an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Later, she completed an additional residency at Silicon Graphics, before returning to Mayo Clinic, where she completed her fellowship in orthopedic oncology.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. O’Connor served as an orthopedic surgeon at Mayo Clinic for over 23 years, as well as at the Center for Musculoskeletal Care at Yale School of Medicine for over 6 years before establishing Vori Health in 2021. She was also the Chair of Movement is Life, a non-profit organization working to address the systemic changes needed to improve healthcare for women and minority communities.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system.
