    Meniere's disease does seem unlikely based on what you've said here. Ear crackling when swallowing is typically a symptom of eustachian tube dysfunction. Eustachian tube dysfunction can also be associated with frequent ear infections. READ MORE

    You may need a longer course of antibiotics. However, it is not uncommon for the fluid in the middle ear space from an ear infection to take 1-3 months to completely clear out even after the acute infection has resolved. READ MORE

  • My ears are clogged and this morning I blew my nose, it had blood?

    It is common for an upper respiratory infection to also cause either an ear infection or eustachian tube dysfunction, either of which could contribute to your ears feeling clogged. To help with the blood in nasal drainage, you should try to use nasal saline irrigations, such as a NetiPot, or at least an over-the-counter nasal saline mist. READ MORE

  • Acid reflux?

    In addition to antacids, you should try to modify your diet, both what you are eating and when. Try not to eat or drink anything 3 hours before bed. You may also want to consider sleeping propped up on pillows or in a recliner while your reflux is severe. Hopefully, your reflux improves as your cold resolves.
