Graduating with her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Cruz went on to complete her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she was awarded Chief Resident in her final year. She then stayed at Mount Sinai where she completed a fellowship in sports medicine and interventional spine.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation and sports medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
