In regard to his educational background, he completed a surgical fellowship in advanced minimally invasive, robotic, and open bariatric surgery at the prestigious Yale University School of Medicine. His general surgery internship and residency were completed at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, and Harlem Hospital Center, where he proudly served as Chief Resident from 2004 to 2005. His international experience includes clinical clerkships at Kings College Hospital in London and surgical training at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

As a second-generation surgeon, he embodies the ethos of “primum non nocere” (first, do no harm), a principle instilled in him by his father.
