In regards to her educational background, she graduated with her medical degree and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Finally, she completed her fellowship in endocrinology at the San Juan City Hospital.
Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
In order to remain up to date in her field, she is an active member of the Endocrine Society and the Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Endocrinología y Diabetología.
