He brings a unique combination of academic excellence, professionalism, outstanding teaching skills, and battle tested management practices aimed at improvements in patient satisfaction, and cost-saving laboratory medicine services.
Teaching students, he serves as a Professor of Clinical Pathology within the Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. His teaching prowess resulted in significant improvement in test scores for medical students and pathology residents.
With a broad educational background, Dr. Singh graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Armed Forces Medical College in 1972. He then went on to complete his residency in pathology at Beth Israel Medical Center in 1974, his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1977, and an additional residency in pathology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 1978.
Years later, in 1998, he earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business of the University of Pittsburgh.
Specializing in the study of bodily fluids and tissues, the doctor is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology & immunopathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). The mission of the ABPath is to promote the health of the public and advance the practice and science of pathology by establishing voluntary certification standards and assessing the qualifications of those seeking to practice the specialty of pathology.
Holding fellowship status, Dr. Singh is a Fellow of the American Association for Physician Leadership and a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. He is also a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and in some cases, the whole body.
