She received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Maryland in College Park. While in school, she worked as a public health intern at the National Eye Institute (NEI) at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Jessica Scott received her Master of Science in Biomedical Science from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Georgia. She went on to earn her medical degree, cum laude, from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Jessica Scott completed her ophthalmology residency training at The Ohio State University in Columbus. She also pursued and completed specialized fellowship training in glaucoma at the prestigious New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, under the tutelage of world-renowned glaucoma specialist, Dr. Jeffrey Liebmann.

Throughout her medical career, Dr. Jessica Scott has authored many peer-reviewed journal articles and presented her work at national meetings. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Glaucoma Society. Dr. Scott deeply values using a team approach with her patients and taking the time to provide education and guidance. She is dedicated to combining compassionate care with the highest standard of medical and surgical excellence.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Jessica Scott developed an early interest in ophthalmology, thanks to time spent at the office with her father. When she’s not working, she enjoys getting lost in a good book, exploring new restaurants, and beach getaways.

Dr. Scott is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist at Scott Eye Care, providing personalized and compassionate care for every patient seen. She works alongside her father, Winston J. Scott, MD, FAAO.

The father-daughter ophthalmology team share a lifelong passion for eye health and help patients achieve the clearest vision possible. With an impressive educational background, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Maryland in College Park, and her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her medical degree was obtained from the Morehouse School of Medicine, where she graduated cum laude.

Subsequently, Dr. Scott completed a rigorous residency in ophthalmology at The Ohio State University in Columbus, and received specialized fellowship training in glaucoma at the New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center, under the mentorship of Dr. Jeffrey Liebmann, a renowned glaucoma specialist.

With an unwavering commitment to her specialty, she is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.

Dedicated to combining compassionate care with the highest standard of medical and surgical excellence, Dr. Scott deeply values using a team approach with her patients and taking the time to provide education and guidance.

A part of several specialty medical societies and academies, she is an active member of both the American Glaucoma Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
