The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine participates in the care of virtually every Cedars-Sinai Medical Center patient, using the most sophisticated methods for making accurate diagnoses in all areas of anatomic and clinical pathology. In addition, the department provides expert consultation services to the outside community. The expert pathologists and clinical scientists are committed to improving precision medicine approaches, advancing basic science and translational research, and providing excellent training and education.

A distinguished medical professional, Dr. Ye embarked on her journey in Surgical Pathology in 1995 when she completed her medical degrees at Zhejiang University School of Medicine. She then continued to expand her knowledge in Biomedical Science and to receive training in cancer research by achieving a degree of Master of Science at the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. 

Driven by a passion for excellence, Dr. Ye completed her residency in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology at New York University Langone Medical Center in 2009. She received board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath). She then pursued a GU Pathology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, successfully completing it in 2010.

With her extensive knowledge, expertise, and dedication to the field of GU Pathology, Dr. Ye continues to make significant contributions to the medical community. She is an active member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the International Society of Urologic Pathology, the Genitourinary Pathology Society, the American Association for Cancer Research, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. For her research in prostate cancer, she has received grant support from the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Department of Defense, and National Institute of Health. 

When it comes to her favorite vacation destinations, Dr. Ye has a deep appreciation for the diverse and captivating wildlife animals in Africa and the enchanting cultures of South America. 

Outside of her professional life, she indulges in a wide range of hobbies that showcase her artistic talents, including painting, drawing, and calligraphy. Additionally, she enjoys the creative process of sewing and handcrafting, is an avid hiker and skier, and finds joy in attending stand-up comedy shows, embracing humor as a source of entertainment and relaxation.
