Get to know Internist Dr. Mark Baker, who serves patients in Bradenton, Florida.

Dr. Baker is a board-certified internist who can be found on staff at HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. There, he also serves as an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Blake Medical Center, now HCA Florida Blake Hospital, is a 383-bed tertiary hospital that has been providing award-winning healthcare to individuals and families since 1973. It offers a wide range of medical specialties and is the only Level II Trauma Center and Burn Center in Manatee County. 

Graduating with his undergraduate degree in Biology/Pre-Med from the University of Tampa, Dr. Baker went on to earn his medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine in 2014. He then performed his residency in internal medicine at HCA Florida Blake Hospital, where he now practices at. 

With a devotion to his profession, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

On a more personal note, Dr. Baker speaks both English and Portuguese.
