Get to know Nephrologist Rejeesh Vasudev, MD, FACP, FASN, FAHA, who serves the Bryan College Station, Texas area at Bryan Kidney Center. Speciality: Nephrology Medical School: Texas Tech University Health Science Center Hospital Affiliation: CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Center, College Station Medical Center, and Scott & White Hospital – College Station Education: Dr. Vasudev graduated in 2004 with his Medical Degree from the University of Kerala Medical College in India. Giving him over a decades worth of experience in his field. Experience: After graduating with his Medical Degree, Dr. Vasudev completed his internal medicine internship with the Texas Tech University. Wanting to further his training he completed his Nephrology fellowship with the West Virginia University. He is certified in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. To stay up to date in her field she remains a fellow of the National Kidney Foundation, American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Nephrology. Current Position: Dr. Vasudev currently practices with Bryan Kidney Center, and is affiliated with CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Center, College Station Medical Center, and Scott & White Hospital – College Station. Nephrology: This is a specialty of medicine that concerns itself with the kidneys: the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy (dialysis and kidney transplantation). Nephrology also studies systemic conditions that affect kidneys, such as diabetes and autoimmune disease; and systemic diseases that occur as a result of kidney disease, such as renal osteodystrophy and hypertension.
