Throughout her academic career, Dr. Khan graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California in 2007. She then went on to earn her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 2012.

Furthering her training, she performed her residency in surgery within the Department of Surgery at Harbor-UCLA in 2013, her residency in radiology at St. John Providence in 2014, and an additional residency in radiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 2017.

From July of 2017 until July of 2018, Dr. Khan served as a Clinical Instructor of Acute Care Imaging & Breast Imaging Fellow at UCLA Health in the greater Los Angeles area.

The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Furthermore, she is board-certified in nuclear medicine by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM). The ABNM is the primary certifying organization for nuclear medicine in the United States.
