A devoted pediatrician, Dr. Kay provides personalized care for her patients. Her areas of clinical expertise include lactation, preventative medicine, nutrition, asthma management, eczema, allergies, weight management, and holistic care.
Happy Soul Pediatrics is a membership-based practice with a mission to help restore the patient-physician relationship and improve the healthcare experience. Using a holistic approach, Dr. Kay collaborates with families to provide comprehensive care. She believes that in addition to traditional evidence-based medicine; good nutrition, sleep, exercise, and mindfulness are all key components to optimal health. Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Kay earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida in 2010, and received her Master of Science degree in Medical Science from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2011. She graduated with her medical degree and completed her residency in pediatrics at the same educational venue in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor attained board certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
