Growing in Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Giordano attended local grade school and high school. He received his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. In May of 2004, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland. 

While in dental school, he served as the President of the Student Dental Association and received the Katherine Toomey Award for devotion to the school and profession. Also while in dental school, he was selected to become a member of the Prosthodontics Honor Society. Upon graduation, he went on to complete a general practice residency at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital and has been in private practice in Northern Virginia since 2005.

Priding himself on being at the forefront of dental technology, Dr. Giordano regularly attends continuing education courses. He also attends conferences and seminars on aesthetic dentistry, implant placement, and implant restoration.

Certified in Invisalign, Oral Conscious Sedation, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, he is a member of several professional dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Giordano and his wife, Joanna Giordano, reside in Arlington, Virginia, and were wed in October of 2010. Dr. Giordano played soccer throughout high school and college and currently plays in a men’s indoor league. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, skiing, playing golf, and fishing.
