Dr. Silverman attended Eastern Michigan University from 1988-1991. After that, he received early admission to the University of Detroit Mercy, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995.
Dr. Silverman is highly experienced in the dental field. After high school, he worked in a dental laboratory for over 2 years. He has been in private practice since 1995, where he enjoys performing general, sports, and cosmetic dentistry with emphasis on full mouth reconstruction. He enjoys being involved with professional affiliations to further his education and training.
Dr. Silverman is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. To accomplish this recognition, Dr. Silverman completed at least 1,600 hours of continuing dental education in 16 different dental disciplines. In addition, recipients must complete at least 100 hours of dental-related community/volunteer service of which Dr. Silverman was well beyond all of these guidelines.
Dr. Silverman is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Academy for Sports Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Practice, the Northside Dental Study Club, and the Seattle Study Club. He is also a member of the Athletic Mouthguard Committee. Dr. Silverman is the official team dentist for the Atlanta Thrashers.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a general & cosmetic dentist, Dr. Silverman has the skills needed to complete an array of commonly performed dental procedures that are simple or complex in nature.
Dr. Silverman has been married to his high school sweetheart, Hindy, since July 2, 1995. They have three wonderful children – Jonah, Joshua, and Jamie.
