Get to know Hospitalist Dr. Juan Manuel Rojas, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

A board-certified internist specializing in hospital medicine, Dr. Rojas is currently working as a part of a private hospitalist company called MD hospitalists. It serves different hospitals in the south Texas area including McAllen Medical Center, Mission Regional Medical Center, Knapp Medical Center, Rio Grande Regional Hospital, and others.

Academically, Dr. Rojas received his medical degree from Lisandro Alvarado Western University School of Medicine. He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at Monmouth Medical Center.

Licensed to practice medicine in Texas and New Jersey, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

A member of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Rojas holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association of Oregon.

Hospital medicine is a medical specialty that exists in some countries as a branch of internal or family medicine, dealing with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. Physicians whose primary professional focus is caring for hospitalized patients only while they are in the hospital are called hospitalists.

On a more personal note, Dr. Rojas is fluent in both English and Spanish.
