Get to know Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Rebecca A. Brauch, who serves patients in Gallipolis, Ohio.

Dr. Brauch is an Ohio-based outpatient internal medicine physician and inpatient infectious disease specialist, seeing patients at Holzer Gallipolis. As a committed healthcare professional, she takes pride in helping her patients improve their overall quality of life. She also treats mental health conditions and has treated many hepatitis C cases in Ohio with positive outcomes.

Since 1909, Holzer Gallipolis has strived to bring the residents of the Southeast Ohio River Valley a medical center they can not only rely on, but one they can be proud of as well. She eventually completed her residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic-Akron General Medical Center, before finishing a fellowship in infectious disease at the University of Florida.

Infectious disease is a medical specialty dealing with the prevention, the diagnosis, and the treatment of all infections. An infectious disease specialist’s practice also consists of managing nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections.
