Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Julia L. Bruckner, who serves patients in Encino, California.

The youngest member of a family of pediatricians, Dr. Bruckner is in practice with Balboa Pediatrics in Encino, California. She loves children and developing relationships with families, and enjoys both the science and the art of medicine.

The physicians and staff at Balboa Pediatrics are dedicated to providing comprehensive health care to children from birth to early adulthood. They are concerned not only about medical issues, but understand that a child’s well being must be viewed in the context of family, nutrition, education, enriching extracurricular activities, discipline, and social interaction. They are devoted to providing the highest quality, family oriented, professional pediatric care delivered in a warm, compassionate, and informative manner.

In regards to her educational background, Dr. Bruckner earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of California at Berkeley. She went on to receive her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, after which she completed her internship and residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. She is board-certified in pediatrics.

On a more personal note, Dr. Bruckner is married to Justin Oskey, who also has a career in a medical field, teaching doctors in the use of sophisticated neurosurgical equipment specializing in the spine.  They are hoping to raise a family of their own in the near future. Dr. Bruckner has a passion for traveling and most recently worked in a pediatric hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, discovering a new appreciation for international medicine. She played high level soccer and tennis growing up, so she has an affinity for athletes of all ages and sports. Dr. Bruckner values her personal relationships and that is how she approaches her interactions with children and their families every day in her practice.
