In regards to her educational background, she graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Goucher College in 2014, and earned her medical degree from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in 2021.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Gupta is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Medical Association. She is also a member of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association, the Performing Arts Club, and the Lackawanna County Medical Society.

In her professional experience, she served as a Biology Supplemental Instructor and Teaching Assistant while at Goucher College, and completed her primary care internship at the Area Health Education Center, where she worked with patients in various care settings to understand prospects and barriers to health care in a rural setting.

Recognized as a creative leader, Dr. Gupta’s extracurricular activities while at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine included the Super Science Saturday, the MD Mentorship Program, the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp, and the Diversity Week Task Force. Additionally, while at Goucher College, she was active in the Bollywood Dance Club, the Biology Club, the Chemistry Club, the Goucher International Student Association, and the Global Signature Board Committee.

Active in the community, she has had various volunteer ventures, such as Homework Helper for the Boys and Girls Club of NEPA; Race Day Volunteer, Steamtown Health Fair Volunteer, and Teacher of First Aid Skills for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine; Touch a Truck – Carnival Event Volunteer and Cinderella’s Closet – Event Volunteer for the Junior League of Scranton; Volunteer Cook at Bethel Ame Church; Volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital; Hampton Family Center Volunteer, Read-A-Story-Write-A-Story Program, Red Cross Volunteer, Upward Bound Tutoring Club, Movement Assistant at Goucher College; and Volunteer at Chandler Hall – Senior Living & Healthcare Services.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults.
