Dr. Rizvi is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, currently providing psychiatric services at a private clinic in Frisco Mental Health Services as well as onsite services at nursing homes. He is well experienced in providing medication management for a wide spectrum of psychiatric illnesses including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, ADHD, alcohol use disorder, opioid use disorder, schizophrenia, and behavioral disturbances related to dementia. He also provides office-based suboxone treatment and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for treatment-resistant depression.
Dr. Rizvi finished his residency as a chief resident at Harlem Hospital Center, New York. He was later appointed as an Associate Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas, TX and as an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University and College of Medicine. He also had several administrative responsibilities including Medical Directorships at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital, San Antonio, Wellbridge Healthcare, Plano, TX, Univerity Behavioral Health, Denton, and Haven Behavioral Hospital of Frisco.
Dr. Rizvi provides services to ages 12 years and above and works together with his clients and families to come up with individualized and personalized treatment plans. In addition, he provides compassionate care delivered on-site at senior care facilities including nursing homes, designed to improve the quality of life.
Dr. Rizvi enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. He also provides community services to raise awareness and advocates for mental illness and substance use disorder in the community through various organizations including the Rotary Club of Frisco.
