Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Arthur A. Arena, who served patients in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

A retired obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Arena saw patients at his private practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He could also be found on staff at Ascension Wisconsin St. Francis Hospital.

With a broad educational background, he graduated with his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, and completed an internship at the San Joaquin General Hospital. He then went on to complete his residency and fellowship in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals.

An authority in his field, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
